The news comes less than two days after a major expose saw 20 women accuse the embattled British star of sexual harassment and bullying.
Following claims of sexual misconduct against Noel Clarke, British police have now confirmed that they received a report linked to allegations of sexual offences committed by a male individual.
London's Metropolitan Police told the BBC that they received a third-party report on April 21 and were now assessing the information. However, they said that there was no investigation currently underway.
"On Wednesday, 21 April, police received a third party report relating to allegations of sexual offenses allegedly committed by a male over a period of time," the Met Police said in a statement to the BBC. The BBC said that it didn't know who made the report.
The news comes following a major expose in The Guardian, in which 20 women accused Clarke — best known for his Kidulthood trilogy of films and roles in shows such as Doctor Who — of sexual harassment and bullying over a number of years. BAFTA immediately revoked Clarke's membership and the outstanding British contribution to cinema honor, which he was awarded just two weeks earlier.
In a statement on Friday, Clarke said he "vehemently" denied any sexual misconduct or criminal wrongdoing, but said he would be "seeking professional help to educate myself and change for the better."
Friday also saw ITV drop the final episode of the Clarke-starring drama Viewpoint from its schedule, Sky announce that it would halt work with the actor, including on the fourth series of his show Bulletproof (later pulled by the CW from its schedule in the U.S.), and All3Media suspend Clarke from his Unstoppable production banner, which it owns. Talent agency CAA also revealed on Friday that it had dropped the actor.
