DMX's final 'Ryde': A look at the monster truck that carried his coffin to Brooklyn memorial - New York Post

The monster truck that gave DMX his final Big Apple tour Saturday was a customized Ford F250 that can cost around $70,000 to start — and quickly accelerate past $175,000, an expert told The Post.

The rapper’s shiny red casket made a monster entrance at his memorial service at Barclays Arena in Brooklyn — strapped to the truck with “Long Live DMX” emblazoned on its side and “DMX” etched on its center caps.

“They added a custom tube frame, transfer case, monster truck shocks, 20 ton axles, and custom wheels and large tractor tires. Other modifications could include custom engine building, sound system and paint,” said Matt Steele, of the Discovery Channel show “Dirty Mudder Truckers.”

The truck, which had “J&B Motorsports” on its rear plate, was an instant Internet sensation.

“They made a custom FORD monster truck for DMX casket. I want to be great for sure,” tweeted @Derekmassa01.

“Legend s—,” Twitter user @jlalibs posted of the ride.

The rapper died April 9 after a heart attack following a drug overdose which had left him in a vegetative state. He was 50.

Reps at the Stowe, Pa., truck company did not immediately respond to The Post.
