Plans are in motion at Ben Affleck’s Georgia estate for the actor’s second wedding to Jennifer Lopez this weekend following their Las Vegas ceremony last month.
A marquee was seen being constructed on the riverfront property Thursday as employees toiled throughout the day in preparation for the star-studded ceremony.
Meanwhile, the couple was spotted out shopping in Savannah, Ga., on Thursday as well with family and friends.
Their three-day “intimate celebration for family and friends” will kick off with a rehearsal dinner on Friday, our insider shared.
The actors will then tie the knot Saturday, this time in front of family and celebrity pals that couldn’t make the first wedding such as Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, Casey Affleck and Drea de Matteo, all of whom are expected to attend.
We also hear there is going to be a barbecue on Sunday.
Page Six also learned that celebrity life coach and podcaster Jay Shetty is expected to officiate their much-awaited wedding.
Seemingly, Shetty and Lopez have been close for a couple of years now with her even opening up about her relationship struggles throughout the years.
In his podcast, she revealed she was doing therapy in her 30s and that “there [was] a lot of talk about loving yourself and I was like ‘I love myself!’ But obviously, I was doing all of these things in my personal relationship that didn’t seem like I was loving myself but I didn’t even understand the concept of it.”
She added, “I took time and it’s a journey and it’s still a journey for me.”
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot last month during a Las Vegas ceremony, with the singer taking to her “On The JLo” newsletter to gush over their sin city nuptials.
“Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world,” she shared with her subscribed fans.
“Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”
The “Saving Private Ryan” star and the “Enough” actress went on to celebrate their honeymoon in Paris, where they were spotted packing on the PDA.
Despite the good times, sources close to the couple told Page Six that the heavy paparazzi presence “freaked out” the actor.
“This was a whole new level,” the source said, adding it was “an almost Princess-Diana level.”
The pair met in 2001 on the set of their movie “Gigli” while Lopez was still married to her second husband Cris Judd.
Following their June 2002 separation, “Bennifer” was born, with Affleck initially proposing in 2002. Unfortunately, they split and didn’t quite make it down the aisle.
Lopez went on to marry Marc Anthony, with whom she shares twins Max and Emme while Affleck married Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.
Both relationships ended in divorce, eventually leading the pair back to one another in 2021 following Lopez’s broken engagement with former Yankee Alex Rodriguez.
