Chris Rock has suffered bullying as a child. He discusses his experience for the first time.
He speaks about the “ridiculous bullying”, he has gone through, two months before the recent incident with Will Smith. The podcast, “Fly on the Wall with Dana Carvey and David Spade,” had ridiculed the comedian.
He says that he has been bullied because he is black and half of it is becuaes he was a little guy.
He says, “Your friends walk over you, your friends walk over you, your female relationships — everybody just f—s you over.”
Further he adds, “I’m not scared of letting people know how I feel about certain things.” Now, I can say, ‘Hey I don’t like what you said to me,’ without losing my head — without hitting someone on the head with a frickin’ brick.”
He says that he can handle his emotions now.

During his acceptance speech, Will expressed regret to the Academy and his fellow nominees. He notably omitted Rock’s name at the time, although he has now issued a formal apology.
