Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval discussed his affair with Raquel Leviss during a tense discussion filmed for “Vanderpump Rules” Season 10 on Friday, multiple sources tell Page Six.
Insiders close to production say Madix, 37, felt “gaslit” by Sandoval, 39, who made a series of excuses for not admitting his infidelity sooner. (As previously reported, his dalliance with Leviss, 28, began last summer.)
“Ariana walked away from the conversation feeling like she was gaslit by Tom,” a source exclusively tells us of the on-camera conversation that took place at the exes’ shared home in Los Angeles’ Valley Village enclave.
“He gave her several excuses as to why he never copped to cheating,” the insider continues.
“Tom said he didn’t tell her about the affair with Raquel because he was worried about how it would impact her mental health, even claiming that he was especially concerned after her grandma died last year.”
Madix’s beloved grandmother Phyllis “Bonnie“ Cameron passed away in September 2022, prompting the reality star to leave the West Coast for some time last year to visit with loved ones in her native Florida.
A source previously claimed to Page Six that Leviss “has slept over Tom and Ariana’s house when Ariana’s been out of town.” Co-star James Kennedy, who was previously engaged to Leviss, also claimed in an Instagram direct message sent to Deuxmoi that the duo’s escapades sometimes took place while “Ariana [was] sleeping.”
Now, insiders say that Sandoval used his and Madix’s home — a modern farmhouse purchased for $2.075 million in 2019, per Variety — to justify his stalled confession. (Both parties are still living there as they navigate their split.)
“The fact that they own a home together was also brought up,” another source explains, “and how he thought that would make their breakup even more complicated.”
The insider notes that Madix felt “perturbed” by the conversation and has since confided in her “Pump Rules” pals — including Katie Maloney, Scheana Shay, Lala Kent and show alum Kristen Doute — who are “disappointed” by how they feel Sandoval is handling the breakup.
“[Madix] has recapped what happened with her friends and castmates, the majority of whom are disappointed Tom seems unable to take accountability for his actions or express substantial remorse,” the source says.
“Of course, they’ve been rallying behind her in the passing days.”
Page Six has reached out to reps for Bravo, Madix and Sandoval for comment.
Sandoval addressed the cheating scandal in a statement shared via Instagram Saturday night.
“Hey, I fully understand and deserve ur anger & disappointment towards me, but please leave [Tom] Schwartz my friends and family out of this situation…” he wrote in part.
Sandoval also urged fans not to “direct [their] anger” over his indiscretions at his Schwartz & Sandy’s business partners, seemingly responding to a flood of negative Yelp reviews and calls for a “boycott” of the Hollywood establishment.
However, the Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras frontman — who described himself as “one of the most hated people in America” during a Friday night concert in Anaheim, Calif. — failed to apologize directly to Madix or mention her name in his statement, a choice that was met with fierce criticism from his “VPR” castmates.
“Where’s the mention of hurting Ariana?! No apologies to her?” Maloney, 36, wrote on her Instagram Story.
Meanwhile, Kent, 32, told Sandoval to “shut up” and implored his employees to “abort mission” via social media.
“where’s Ariana’s apology in this?” she added on her own Story. “It’s called narcissism… & it’s terrifying.”
Madix discovered Sandoval and Leviss’ “full-on affair” Wednesday night after Sandoval’s band’s show at TomTom in West Hollywood.

We’re told the blond beauty — who sat front and center to cheer her then-boyfriend on — was “heartbroken” after she found a sexually explicit video sent by Leviss on his phone.
Madix then learned that Sandoval and Leviss had been “communicating inappropriately for months,” an insider alleged, adding that “Ariana was blindsided by the cheating.”
Sources told Page Six on Saturday that Sandoval and Leviss planned “for weeks” to tell Madix about their affair before she uncovered it herself.
It’s unclear whether the pair wanted to to tell Madix on camera, but the idea to come clean had been “ruminating for weeks,” an insider shared.
Meanwhile, Sandoval gushed about his relationship with Madix just moments before she found the damning messages, telling us in an exclusive interview, “We definitely have our ups and downs for sure but I think we’ve been really good about respecting each other.”
Additionally, Sandoval said that he and Madix — who started dating in 2014 — have had “each other’s backs in a reasonable way … within reason,” noting, “I think it’s just worked, ya know?”
“Vanderpump Rules” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
