Bam Margera was arrested after allegedly getting into an altercation at a Los Angeles restaurant on Wednesday (March 29).
According to TMZ, the Jackass star yelled at a woman while at a Thai restaurant with his estranged wife, Nicole Boyd, and their son, Phoenix.
Cops were alerted around 3:45 P.M. local time yesterday. Authorities attempted to diffuse the situation and, at one point, Margera was seen sitting on a curb outside the restaurant, talking to the reporting officers, per TMZ. However, eventually he was arrested for misdemeanor public intoxication.
It is unknown if Margera was arguing with Boyd or another woman.
Page Six and TMZ report that comedian Evan Breen was at the restaurant during the incident and recorded “a visibly upset Margera” entering and exiting the restaurant on an Instagram Live. The video has since been removed.
Per TMZ, Magera’s bail is set at $500.
Earlier this week, the stuntman got a tattoo of his son’s name in Arabic on his face. He wrote on Instagram, “I miss Phoenix the wolf so much I had to to get his name tattooed on my fuckin face to remind Nikki she is breaking my heart by not letting me see him.”
Boyd filed for legal separation from Margera in February after claiming that he was intoxicated during a visit with Phoenix. The couple have been separated since September 2021.
Last December, Magera was hospitalized after contracting pneumonia and COVID-19. He was placed on a ventilator at a San Diego hospital while recovering from the illness.
Reflecting on his illness in January, the reality star claimed he was “pronounced dead” and his “body was shutting down.” He suffered multiple seizures and experienced trouble breathing.
In February, comedian Steve-O posted a public plea for Margera to recover from drug and alcohol abuse, writing on Instagram, “You say you want to have a relationship with your son, but your actions guarantee the exact opposite will happen.”
Steve-O added, “I wish you could know how much I’ve hated feeling braced for news of your death, but you’re making it clear that I have no other choice. You’re dying, brother, and it sucks that I can’t do anything to save you.”
